Plant in well drained soil as early as possible in the spring. Dig a hole 2-3 inches deeper than the root. Place in the hole facing up 2-3 inches below ground level. Plant 24 inches apart. Rhubarb is a perennial so locate it where it will be shaded and cool during the heat of the year.
