Hybrid F2 of UC157

One of the most productive asparagus available.  This new hybrid produces one of the highest yields of asparagus.  Large uniform spears are non-stringy and if cut at the right time, has a tender, delicate flavor that’s unbeatable by any you will find in the supermarkets.  Your first cutting pays for your plants.  Beat high prices and grow your own.  Green.

Option 1
  • Dig a trench 12 inches wide and 6-8 inches deep.  Place crowns in trench 15-24 inches apart on slight mounds of soil, making the crowns higher than the roots.  Spread out roots and cover with 2-3 inches of soil.  Firm down.  As plants grow, pull more soil into the trench until filled.  Harvest when spears are 5-9 inches tall by breaking off at soil level.
