MARY WASHINGTON This popular variety is rust resistant, easily grown, and produces large and tender shoots. The stalks are succulent, straight dark green tinged with purple.
HYBRID F2 OF UC157 One of the most productive asparagus available. This new hybrid produces one of the highest yields of asparagus. Large uniform spears are non-stringy and if cut at the right time, has a tender, delicate flavor that is unbeatable by any you’ll find in the supermarkets. Your first cutting pays for your plants. Beat high prices and grow your own.
JERSEY GIANT Widely adapted to most U.S. states. Beautiful green color with purple brats. Very early variety and has heavy yields. All male.
PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS Dig a trench 12 inches wide and 6-8 inches deep. Place crowns in trench 15-24 inches apart on slight mounds of soil, making the crowns higher than the roots. Spread out roots and cover with 2-3inches of soil. Firm down. As plants grow, pull more soil into the trench until filled. Harvest when spears are 5-9 inches tall by breaking off at soil level.
